Artist’s talk “Printmaking Yesterday, Art Now!: Discourse of Printmaking in the Expanded Field” is related to Rozman’s PhD research “Pushing the boundaries: The position and role of printmaking in contemporary art”. The purpose of this research is to inquire into traditional conventions and put to test the boundaries of the printmaking medium; to put forward for consideration a new definition of the term printmaking in accordance with contemporary artistic practices; and to explore the possibility of realization of printmaking’s conceptual potential within the context of contemporary art.
